What does "College and Career Ready" mean?
College readiness refers to the set of skills, knowledge, and behaviors a high student should have upon graduation and entering their freshman year of college. It is all about the ability to find success while studying at an institution of higher learning.
Career readiness is the attainment and demonstration of requisite competencies that broadly prepare high school and/or college graduates for a successful transition into the workplace.
MSD Warren started started using Naviance for the first time this year. Naviance is a comprehensive college and career readiness solution that is supporting our schools align student strengths and interests to postsecondary goals, improving student outcomes and connecting learning to life. The 2018-2019 school year has been a learning year for counselors and staff as we onboard students. We look forward to expanding in 2020-2021.
